The Breakthrough!
(Monday, 31 December 2007) Written by admin
I have heard about many other Christians experiencing supernatural financial breakthroughs. And I received a healing from a chronic disease earlier in the year. But now I desperately needed God to work a financial miracle in my life. My real estate investing business had suffered a major set back. I went through some tough personal experiences and when all the dust settled I was left holding thousands of dollars of debt with no income in sight. I used all my financial resources to stay afloat and finally I was literally down to $15 in my bank account with $1000's of bills coming due. I had no answers of what to do in "the natural," but I did know my God. I knew the Bible and I thought if I ever needed to press into faith it was now. I decided to do everything the Bible said to do. I prayed, I fasted, I rebuked the enemy, and I spoke to that mountain of debt, just like Jesus teaches us to do. Well, I can say now that God is faithful and He started "downloading" ministry and money-making ideas to me. Plus, He uprooted me from the real estate business and transplanted me back into Christian writing and creative work. Writing has always been my first love, but for sorted reasons I had stepped away from it and hadn't written anything for more than 10 years. The first think the Lord directed me to was this site. In the process, He directed me to a fabulous designer who showed me undue favor. Then the Lord directed me to write a weblog about the Daniel Fast. What I didn't realize is that He needed someone to fill a huge gap. Thousands of people who are inexperienced in fasting are getting into this powerful spiritual discipline. They need information and there was little available. So the Lord directed me to write the blog and I soon became known as The Daniel Fast Blogger. Finally, He gave me two money-making product ideas that I hope to have fully launched in the first quarter of 2008. This is God's way! He gives us ideas and favor while at the same time allows us to rest in Him as we put our trust in Him. In the natural, I should have been at my wits end. I'm not saying there weren't tears and a few times of anguish. But for the most part I was able to stand on the Word and truly, the peace that passes all understanding filled my heart. God is a good God. He is faithful. He wants so very much to free us from all that oppresses us. This New Year is one of New Beginnings. We can start this year in hope and faith. All the powe of Almighty God is on our side if we just follow His was and stay in faith!
Drowning in debt?
(Monday, 03 December 2007) Written by admin
Remember the familiar Bible scene in Luke 8:22-25? That was when Jesus got in the boat with the disciples and said, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." (This is the red-letter-edition blog.)Then it seems Jesus promptly went to sleep after a long day of ministry. As they were sailing, a huge windstorm came down on the lake. The disciples were terrified for their lives and worrying that they may drown. "Master, Master, we are perishing," cried out the disciples. Jesus got up, rebuked the wind and the raging waters and the seas calmed. Wow! What a relief! But then He asked the disciples a very important question, "Where is your faith?" In that response, Jesus is asking them why they didn't handle this storm themselves. Why didn't they speak to the wind and the raging waves? He implied that they had everything inside of them to get the same outcome He did. But where was their faith? Are you in a storm of debt and financial worries? Have you been crying out to Jesus, "Master, Master, I am perishing!" Is Jesus asking you, "Where is your faith?" As we study God's Word, we see over and over again that faith activates the power of God to do the impossible. See Matthew 9:22, Matthew 9:29, and Mark 2:5. Each of these times, it was the faith of the people that activated the power of Christ to change their lives. "Where is your faith?" If that question leaves you with a knowing that you need to increase your faith as you face this present danger of a debt storm, take action now! How do you do that? The Bible answers that question, also. Romans 10:17 says, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Get into the Scriptures. Listen to teachings on Christian television or ministry Cd's. Attend church and talk to other believers. Visit our Lack Attack Members Forum! Do whatever you need to do to find your faith and then speak to those debt storms. Just like the disciples, you have everything inside of you to bring about your desired outcome. By the way, we love to hear your comments and testimonies. Please stay in touch by adding your thoughts to this blog or by writing in the Lack Attack Forum. Shalom (nothing missing, nothing broken)
How I Made $994 in Less Than 20 Minutes
(Saturday, 01 December 2007) Written by admin
Now that sounds like one of the hot, too-good-to-be-true headlines, doesn’t it? I’d think the same except that it’s true! And frankly, it was one of the easiest $1000 I’ve ever made! How did I make this fast cash? Easy! Let me explain:   As part of my business downturn aftermath, I had to cut back on every expense I could. So I went through my automatic “monthly charges” to my credit card and found that every month I was making four payments equaling $82.85. And frankly, I really didn’t need the things these charges bought me.   I mean, it’s not like I was totally wasting the money. But they weren’t essential expenses: delivered water, an online movie rental subscription, exercise program, and a business review. Those four automatic charges to my credit card added up to $82.85. When I multiplied that by 12 it amounted to $994 a year. Add the interest rate for the charges and it was well over $1000!   I got on the telephone and canceled all of the services. This exercise took me less than 20 minutes! The only thing I miss at all is the online movie rental subscription, but I’m willing to forego that for a bit longer until I am recovered from the economic downturn I experienced.   Take a few minutes and go over your credit card statements. Are there charges that you can either cancel permanently or for a period of time? You might be surprised at the things you are paying for that really aren’t all that important to you!
